The Queen of Hearts
Carrying on from my royal themed posts this week (yeah one post is a theme now), here’s a few pics of my childhood chum Rachel who likes to dress up and makes for a good model. In case you can’t tell she’s made up to be the Queen of Hearts.
The story behind these photos is that there is no story. Rachel started putting on face paint to commemorate the Royal Wedding, and I thought ‘hmm that might make for some interesting photos’ and I whipped out my big boy (120cm octa) and started snapping away. I also thought I’d give the ring light a shot:
Photo notes
- I just used one (huge 120cm octabox) light for all these photos, at camera right and slightly above eye level.
- I had a gold reflector to camera left for fill, hand held by me.
- I used a 50mm f1.4 lens on a DX body (giving me a 75mm field of view).
- The background is my living room wall.
- A little bit of split toning added in post, not much else.
